William Schupp

Amherst Middle School Technology, Computer Science, & Robotics Engineering

Mr. William Schupp is a middle school Technology and Engineering teacher in Amherst Central Schools. He earned his BA and MSEd in Technology Education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. He began teaching Technology and Engineering in 2013 and has taught at Amherst Middle School since 2016. His instruction spans a wide range of content areas, including woodworking, 3D printing, robotics, and bridge design and construction. Mr. Schupp serves as the advisor to Tech Club and leads students in regional Tech Wars competitions hosted by SUNY Niagara and Erie Community College. He is an active member of both the Western New York Technology Educators Association and the New York State Technology and Engineering Educators Association. In 2021, he earned his Driver Education Instructor Certificate and has taught Driver and Traffic Safety Education during the summer since 2022. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Schupp enjoys playing guitar, going to the gym, cooking, bicycling, hunting, skiing, and spending time outdoors. He looks forward to participating in the New York State Master Teacher Program to collaborate with fellow science and mathematics educators, strengthen interdisciplinary connections, and continue refining and expanding Technology and Engineering curricula within his district.
