Stephanie Lane earned her AS in Math and Science from Niagara County Community College, her BS in Biochemistry and Mathematics from Buffalo State University, her MS in Science Education from Buffalo State University, and her PhD in Education from Capella University. She earned her Professional Certification in Chemistry 7-12 and Mathematics 7-12. She was recognized by The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and awarded the Joyce Swartney Award. Dr. Lane has taught various courses, including grade 7/8 science, Living Environment, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Chemistry Lab since 2015. Currently, she teaches Chemistry and Chemistry lab at Leonardo da Vinci High School, a National Blue-Ribbon school. She serves as the Guardian of Equity for the Culturally Linguistically Responsive Initiatives (CLRI), runs the multicultural club, worked as a curriculum committee member for the science department, and is member of the University of Buffalo (UB) STEM Drone Challenge. Outside of school, she is a member of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) and attended the previous three annual conferences. As a NYS Master Teacher, Dr. Lane looks forward to expanding pedagogical knowledge through professional development opportunities and the opportunity to collaborate with fellow STEM teachers.
