Stacey Kerr earned her AS in Mathematics from Jamestown Community College and BS and MSEd in Mathematics: Adolescence Education from SUNY Fredonia. While earning her undergraduate degree, she became a member of the National Mathematics Honor Society, Pi Mu Epsilon. As a graduate student assistant, she taught the course Survey of Calculus. Mrs. Kerr began her career 13 years ago at Salamanca High School and is now teaching at Clymer Central School. She was honored to receive the Salamanca Teacher of the Year Award in 2013 and Western New York Teacher of Merit Award in 2014. Mrs. Kerr has taught all levels of mathematics, and currently teaches Math 7, and SAT Math Prep. She also offers the following college-level dual enrollment courses: Problem Solving, Elementary Statistics, College Algebra/ Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus through the College Connections program at Jamestown Community College. Mrs. Kerr serves on the scholarship committee, is the 7th grade class advisor, and is the advisor to the Math Honor Society at Clymer. She has brought her students to the Math/Science Challenge offered by Fredonia State for many years and is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Learning from her grandfather and former math teacher, Mrs. Kerr knew what it meant to be an inspiring teacher and what led her to a career in teaching. She looks forward to working collaboratively with other STEM professionals and expanding her knowledge through Professional Learning Teams.
