Shaun Canaski

Shaun Canaski earned his BS in Technology Education and MS in Educational Computing from SUNY Buffalo State. Shaun’s career as a teacher started in Lancaster Middle and High school teaching several technology courses including DDP, Basic Electricity, Transportation Systems, Construction Systems, and Biotechnology. Since 2012 Shaun teaches Intro to Technology at William Street Elementary school in Lancaster. Shaun teaches technology to 5th graders using project based learning with an emphasis on the design process. Shaun also teaches a 4th grade STEM class where students get to design, build, and test a solution to a provided problem. Shaun runs the William Street Ski Club, and serves in the district as a Teacher Leader and Data Coach. Shaun strives to challenge his students to explore their interests and experience failure. Mr. Canaski is excited to collaborate with other STEM professionals to develop a curriculum that will inspire and challenge his students in new ways.
