Sarah English started her career in education as a Peace Corps volunteer in The Gambia, West Africa (95-97) as a math teacher after graduating from the University of Rochester. Upon returning to the United States, she continued her education at Niagara University with a Masters in Science Education and then at the University at Buffalo earning her PhD in Science Education in 2006. Dr. English is currently employed at Sweet Home High School in Amherst, NY and teaches Regents Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry. She is an adjunct at the University at Buffalo in the Department of Learning and Instruction and teaches a science methods class. Her interests include the flipped classroom and inquiry based learning. Dr. English is blessed to have the support of her husband and her three children.
