Samantha Stone

Samantha Stone earned her BFA in Photography from the University at Buffalo, B.A. in Geology and MSEd of Science Education at SUNY Buffalo State College, and her Certificate of Advanced Studies in TESOL from Niagara University. Ms. Stone teaches Earth Science in a ENL co taught classroom at the International Preparatory School in Buffalo. She is very involved with the school community at IPrep where she is the Science Department Lead, NHS co-advisor, Girls Soccer Coach, Cheerleading Coach, serves on the School-Based Management Team and works in the after school program with Best Self. Outside of school Ms. Stone is a member of STANYS and sits on the Western Section Board as the Earth Science SAR and has presented at multiple STANYS regional and state conferences. Ms. Stone is also a 200 hour certified Yoga teacher and an avid runner who leads a winter run club in Buffalo. As a NYS Master Teacher, Ms. Stone looks forward to mentoring new and preservice teachers as well as collaborating with other like minded individuals.
