
Sabrina Piaschyk
Panama Central School ScienceSabrina Piaschyk earned her BS in Geology from SUNY Oswego, MSEd of Science Education from SUNY Oswego, and MS in Geology from the University of Ohio at Athens. Mrs. Piaschyk teaches JCC College Connections Introductory Geology, Regents Earth and Space Science, and Regents Physics at Panama Central School, Panama NY. She has been teaching science since 2008, for six years she taught in Pennsylvania, she then took time off to raise her children from 2013-2017, and teaching for the past seven years in NYS. At Panama Central School, Mrs. Piaschyk coaches the Science Olympiad team, advises high school and middle school student government, and advises an outdoor club. She also serves on the school wellness committee and mentors new teachers. Outside of school Mrs. Piaschyk is a member and the Earth Science Subject Area Specialist (SAR) for the Science Teachers Association of NYS (STANYS), is the Director of Youth Education at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, the webmaster for St. Nicholas, and is a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She enjoys anything that involves the outdoors or athletic competition. Triathlon racing, hiking, kayaking, running, biking, swimming, and camping with her family. Traveling to new places, meeting, new people, and immersing herself in a new culture while exploring the world to observe and experience its natural wonder and beauty is a passion she loves to share with her students. As an NYS Master Teacher, Mrs. Piaschyk looks forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals and learning from her fellow teachers.
