Robert Meek

Mr. Meek completed his Masters in Science Education in 1998 at SUNY Buffalo.  He has taught high school chemistry and physics for two decades, with the last 7 years in his home town of Akron, NY.  Mr. Meek has also been an active coach at the modified through varsity level in the sports of soccer, volleyball, tennis, and Track & Field spanning 26 seasons.  Professional development activities have included the University of Rochester's Research Experience for Teachers, the Institute for new teachers of regents physics, and Rochester's PARTICLE program.  Currently, he is working on the launch of a new computer coding course as a high school elective at Akron High School. Mr. Meek is also a member of the Western NY Physics Teachers Alliance, and the American Association of Physics Teachers.
