Paul Parrinello

Depew High School Science

Paul Parrinello earned his BS at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, majoring in Forestry and Wildlife Biology.  He received an MS in Biology at Montana State University and holds permanent NYS certification in Biology, Earth Science, and Chemistry.  Before teaching, Mr. Parrinello worked on research projects involving raptors, cavity-besting birds, and grasshopper DNA in the western US. Mr. Parrinello won two student-generated awards for outstanding teaching; the Business First Teacher of Merit Award, and Honorary Membership in the National Honor Society.  He has been teaching high school science for 19 years, and currently teaches Regents Chemistry and College Chemistry at Depew High School.  Mr. Parrinello serves on the Building Council and the National Honor Society selection team.  He is often asked to give nature walks around the school campus by faculty members and students, and annually leads a hike at the Senior Picnic. Mr. Parrinello is a member of the American Chemical Society, STANYS, the Finger Lakes Trail Conference, Cub Scouts, and Trout Unlimited.  He enjoys fly-fishing, camping, and crossword puzzles.
