Michelle Edmister
North Tonawanda Middle School ScienceMichelle Edmister earned her BS in Chemistry from SUNY College at Geneseo with dual certification in chemistry and mathematics, and MSEd in Science Education from the University of Buffalo. Mrs. Edmister has been teaching 7th and 8th grade math for North Tonawanda Middle School, since 1995. Mrs. Edmister is currently serving as the activities treasurer for the extra curricular clubs. Additionally, she is a team leader and department chair, and has served on numerous committees including, curriculum, shared decision making, school improvement, character education, and school transition. Mrs. Edmister was the lead teacher for technology integration and 1:1 devices for her building. She was trained by the College Board on aligning math curriculum 7-12 to increase participation in Advanced Placement courses. Outside of the classroom Mrs. Edmister is involved with her union on the local and state levels. She is currently the Middle School VP and NYSUT delegate. She enjoys working with pre-service teachers and has mentored many student teachers. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Edmister's time is spent with her husband and her family. As a NYS Master Teacher she is looking forward to all of the opportunities to grow as a teacher and to share that experience with others.
