Melissa Vuich

Mrs. Vuich earned her BS from Fredonia State University and her MSEd in Elementary Education, birth through 6th grade from Medaille College. An elementary school teacher for 11 years, Mrs. Vuich teaches second grade using a constructivist approach to encourage her young learners to investigate, collaborate, and discuss to take ownership of their individual learning. Mrs. Vuich believes that because of this innovative and hands-on learning environment, her students remain actively engaged and eager to continue their discovery. Mrs. Vuich has served as South Davis Elementary's Technology Instructional Leader, and is a member of the district Technology, and Math Leadership committees, and is a mentor for the Orchard Park Teacher Association. Mrs. Vuich has also been the assistant director and choreographer for several of her school musicals, where she encourages creativity and student leadership. With her family, Mrs. Vuich enjoys all the unique seasons where she can garden in the warmer weather and ski in the colder months. As a NYS Master Teacher, she is excited to work collaboratively with other passionate STEM teachers to enhance the classroom environment for her young learners.
