Melissa Dillon
Martin Road Elementary Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Technology, RoboticsMelissa Dillon earned her BS in Childhood Education and MS in Special Education from SUNY Buffalo State University. Mrs. Dillon has been working in the Lackawanna City School District since 2012. She currently works as a second-grade classroom teacher at Martin Road Elementary School. Since 2019 Mrs. Dillon has taught in an integrated room with English Language Learners. At Martin Road she is part of the Building Leadership Team, a mentor teacher for the district, and helped to write the science curriculum for the second-grade team. She is currently part of a planning team for incorporating STEM into the classroom. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Dillon loves live music, reading, traveling, and spending time with her children. As a New York State Master Teacher, she is looking forward to meeting with other educators in the STEM field and collaborating to share resources, ideas, and passion to bring back to the classroom and help students foster critical thinking skills, creativity, and a love of learning.
