Meghan Hillery

Meghan Hillery earned a BA in Childhood Education and BA in Students with Disabilities from SUNY Fredonia and MA in Literacy Education from SUNY Buffalo State. As part of her program at SUNY Fredonia, Meghan had the opportunity to teach students in Belize while also learning about their culture and education system. In the classroom for 7 years, Meghan teaches 6th grade mathematics at Cleveland Hill Middle School and coaches Girls on the Run for middle school girls in her district. In her spare time, Meghan enjoys skiing, traveling, spending time with her family, and climbing mountains. Meghan has previously attended several courses offered through the Master Teacher Program including Landscapes of Learning Mathematics. Learning new skills and strategies through these courses inspired Meghan to apply to become part of the Master Teacher Program. As a NYS Master Teacher, Meghan is very excited for the opportunity to develop further as an educator, form relationships with other teachers in the area, and bring back new ideas to her district.
