Megan Grabek earned her B.A. in Education from Niagara University and her M.S. in Special Education from SUNY at Buffalo State. She went on to get her Professional Certification in mathematics from New York State. Miss Grabek has been teaching mathematics for the past 10 years and currently teaches at East Community High School where she has been for the past 5 years. Miss Grabek has taught a variety of math classes throughout her career and is currently teaching Algebra, Algebra II, and Principles of Algebra and Geometry. In addition, she is the Curriculum Lead Math Teacher and Data Support Person at her school. Miss Grabek has been a math tutor for 8 years. She works with high school students as well as younger students through online tutoring platforms. Miss Grabek coaches swim through a learn to swim program in Niagara Falls, NY and is currently the girls’ varsity basketball coach at her school. Megan offers tutoring and Algebra support during Saturday Academy days for her community school. This helps build connections with students and families while preparing them for college. Megan’s hobbies include swimming, lifting weights, spending time with her nieces & nephews, playing with her cats and hanging out with friends. She does not mind trying out a new restaurant or two with her boyfriend. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is excited to be able to tap into the knowledge that the NYS Master Teacher Program makes abundantly available.
