Lindsay Russell
Bemus Point Elementary School ElementaryLindsay Russell earned her BSEd with certificates in Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education and MSEd in Childhood Literacy from St. Bonaventure University. At St. Bonaventure University, Mrs. Russell was the recipient of the Al Nothem Student Teaching Award, awarded to the top student teacher candidate, graduated Summa Cum Laude, was valedictorian of the education department and received the Academic Excellence Award for the School of Education. With the Bemus Point Elementary School for six years, she has taught second grade and kindergarten. Mrs. Russell serves her school community in a variety of ways: She is a member of the Math, Technology, PD, Learning Leaps, and Teambuilding Committees, and the Parent Teachers Association, Assistant Director for the elementary musical, Kagan Cooperative Learning Structures Coach, and mentor teacher. In the classroom, she values the importance of using technology and cooperative learning to give students hands-on STEM learning experiences. Outside of school, Mrs. Russell is passionate about community theatre and the arts; she serves on the board of directors for the Lucille Ball Little Theatre and directs the children’s community theatre program. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and dogs. Mrs. Russell is honored to be a part of the NYS Master Teacher Program and is looking forward to growing as an educator and mentor through this incredible opportunity.
