Lindsay Hunt

Lorraine Elementary Science

Lindsay Hunt holds a B.A. in Biological Sciences and an Ms. Ed. in Science Education from the University at Buffalo. She started her teaching career in 2008 at McKinley High School in Buffalo as a freshmen biology teacher. She taught Living Environment lab and lecture for 10 years before making a switch to middle school science in 2018. For the past 8 years, she has taught 7th and 8th grade science at PS 72 Lorraine Elementary in Buffalo, NY and feels like she was made for teaching middle school. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Lindsay is the National Junior Honor Society advisor which entails leading monthly meetings and service projects for the members. Outside of school, Lindsay is an avid reader, enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her nephews. She also plays football in an adult co-ed football league. Lindsay looks forward to collaborating with other science teachers in the area to increase her knowledge of pedagogy, content, and find new ways to engage students.
