Leslie Gracz
Depew Middle School Life ScienceLeslie Gracz earned her BA in Geology from Buffalo State and MBA from Canisius College of Buffalo and was employed by Waste Management (engineering division) as an Environmental Scientist. Mrs. Gracz has been in the classroom for 21 years, teaching Regents Earth Science for 12 years at Depew High School and 9 years teaching 7th grade Life Science at Depew Middle School. Committed to providing the best resources available for her students, Mrs. Gracz is continually seeking opportunities to increase student engagement in the classroom. As a Science Ambassador for the Center for Disease Control & Prevention and certified Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science Pathway teacher, students have explored potential career opportunities while learning problem solving skills rooted in STEM content. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Gracz has presented for Science Take Out and Western STANYS Mini Conferences, judged mid-level Biology Presentations for New York State Science Congress and held several leadership positions with the Depew Teachers' Organization; receiving the 2012 NYSUT Leadership Award.
