Leah Farnum earned her BS in Exceptional Education and Childhood Education, and her MS in Curriculum and Instruction with a Leadership focus from Buffalo State College. Mrs. Farnum has taught for 15 years, beginning her career at CABOCES as a Special Education teacher and spending most of her career at Ellicottville Central School. At Ellicottville, she has taught 2nd and 3rd grade and is currently teaching the newly developed STEM program. Outside the classroom, she advises a STEM club for young learners and runs a summer learning program in conjunction with the Bob McCarthy Foundation for Youth. For the past four years, Mrs. Farnum has served on the Technology Committee and Professional Development Committee for the district, focusing on improving efforts to develop rich experiences for teachers to reach all students. She is very excited to be part of the Master Teacher Program and looks forward to collaborating with like-minded educators, sharing innovative strategies, and deepening her understanding of best practices in STEM education.
