Kristin Narde
Heim Middle School MathKristin Narde earned her BS in Elementary Education and her MS in Creativity and Change Leadership from Buffalo State College. During her Master’s program, she became a proud member of the State University College at Buffalo Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa. After 14 years as a primary school teacher, Kristin transferred within the Williamsville Central School District to Heim Middle School where science became her primary subject of teaching. She has been at Heim Middle School for the past 16 years where currently, she teaches physical science, math and ELA to sixth graders. Kristin’s passion is working as a mentor teacher. She was selected to be a mentor teacher in 2005. Since then, Kristin continues to mentor new teachers and holds a position on the Williamsville Central School District Mentoring Committee, where she assists in planning and training colleagues in the process of becoming a mentor teacher. Kristin spent the last four years on the district sixth grade science curriculum writing committee and currently is a member of the Heim Middle School Strategic Planning Team, the Teaching, Leadership and Learning Committee. She is an active member of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). Kristin loves to cook, read, learn and travel. She is honored to be named a NYS Master Teacher and wants to focus on mentorship with pre-service teachers. She wants to inspire others to become educators and add to the educational field. Kristin is eager to collaborate, learn and implement new practices that will assist her current students.
