Kimberly King

Kimberly King earned her BS in Secondary Mathematics Education and Master of Science in Mathematics Education from SUNY at Buffalo State College. She is in her 22nd year of teaching at Amherst High School. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. King is the 9–12 Math Department Chairperson and the 6–12 Math Curriculum Teacher Leader. Mrs. King enjoys building relationships with students and using that connection to help students learn mathematics. As a NYS Master Teacher, Mrs. King looks forward to working with other math and science teachers in the Western New York region to continue to grow and learn as a math educator and to help students make concrete, relatable connections to ways that math and science can connect to their lives. In her spare time, Mrs. King enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage daughters. Mrs. King is excited to be a part of the Master Teacher community and sharing with and learning from other teachers in the program.
