Kelly Przybyla
City Honors High School MathematicsKelly Przybyla earned her B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from SUNY Buffalo State and her M.S. in Education with a focus on Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at Walden University. She enters her 18th year of teaching as a Secondary Mathematics teacher and as a Humanities teacher for the IB Diploma Program. Currently, she teaches Algebra and Theory of Knowledge at City Honors School. She has also taught mathematics at McKinley High School, Math, Science, and Technology Preparatory School at Seneca, and ITT Technical Institute. She has served on curriculum, tech prep, and text-book committees. Among her teaching duties in Buffalo, Mrs. Przybyla has provided College Preparatory Mathematics workshops throughout Western New York. At City Honors, she serves as the advisor of the Amnesty International Club. Outside of school, Kelly is a member of the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS) and enjoys attending professional conferences at local and national levels. As a NYS Master Teacher, she looks forward to enhancing her students’ interest in STEM-related careers by empowering them with knowledge and understanding of mathematics. She is passionate about discovery-based learning, collaborative student learning team settings, and data-driven instruction.Â
