Kathy Ellis

Kathy Ellis earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology and her MS Degree in Secondary Education from D’Youville College.  Mrs. Ellis has been teaching mathematics for the past 12 years and she currently teaches at Leonardo da Vinci High School.  Mrs. Ellis has taught many different classes throughout her career and is currently teaching Algebra II.  In addition, she is the Curriculum Lead Math Teacher and Data Support Person at her school.   Kathy has worked with the Upward Bound Program at D’Youville College for the past three years, building connections with students and their families while preparing them for college.  Kathy’s hobbies include reading, baking, hiking and camping with her family. Because of an interest in camping and the outdoors, she recently started an Adventure Club at her school.  Mrs. Ellis looks forward to learning new and exciting best practices from other NYS Master Teachers so that she can take those practices back to her students and her colleagues.
