Lancaster High School Physics

I started as an education major in Biology 7-12.  I received my bachelor's degree in May 2004 but had trouble finding work due to only having one (and very common) certification.  A master's program for physics education started at Buffalo State and I enrolled for the sole purpose of making myself more marketable for a biology teaching position.  I never had any intention of being a physics teacher.  Honestly, I did have the confidence that I could "do physics".  Well, through the Master Educators in this degree program, I fell in love with physics and was hired for a teaching position at a Catholic School in the fall of 2006.  I moved on to public school in the fall of 2008, completing my Master's Degree that December. I have taught both Regents Earth Science and Regents Living Environment, each one time.  Interesting, but not my niche.  I love my seniors (up until about Spring Break), and I work in a district that is absolutely awesome.  Thanks Lancaster for letting me be me!  And thank you Master Teacher program for supporting my insane passion to continuously improve and refine my craft.  What an opportunity... quite an honor to be a part of this!
