Joseph Gallagher

Mr. Joseph Gallagher earned his Masters Degree in Mathematics Education from Buffalo State and his Bachelor of Science Degree and teaching certification from SUNY @ Fredonia State.  Mr. Gallagher's background includes 14 years of teaching mathematics at Lewiston-Porter High School and two years teaching in North Carolina at West Mecklenburg High School.  He spent several seasons coaching football at both schools.  His research interests include using technology in the classroom to enhance student learning and teaching strategies of the Common Core Curriculum.  Mr. Gallagher enjoys teaching Geometry and the problem solving strategies that derive from the course.  He is excited to be a part of the Master Teacher Program and hopes to bring new teaching and learning practices back to his classroom and to his colleagues.  He looks forward to working with the other Master Teachers in the Master Teacher Program.  Mr. Gallagher is also a member of the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State.
