Mr. Bella earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Technology Education from Buffalo State. He began his career teaching middle school Technology to students in the Buffalo Public School District at #18 Antonia Pantoja School of Academic Excellence, and at #59 Charles Drew Science Magnet. Then he accepted a high school position teaching the Green Technology CTE program at #156 Fredrick Law Olmsted School at Kensington, also in the Buffalo Public School District. He currently teaches Entrepreneurship in Graphic Communication, Design and Drafting for Production, and Computer Applications at Orchard Park High School. Mr. Bella values the importance of craftsmanship and quality work; “good enough” will never do. Students in his classroom find themselves learning through project-based problem solving activities, to better prepare themselves for the real world beyond high school where there is no simple answer. Mr. Bella also enjoys preparing his students for technical competitions such as Tech Wars, and the Alfred State Tech Challenge. When not in the classroom; Mr. Bella has his Coast Guard Captain’s License and enjoys sailing, driving and working on performance cars, and traveling the United States. Through the Master Teacher program, he is excited to work with daring individuals who want to explore and share new facets of STEM education together.
