Mrs. Zobel taught first and second grade for the first four years of her career and has been teaching Kindergarten for the past 12 years. The amazing academic and social growth that happens with our youngest learners is why Mrs. Zobel decided to pursue elementary education as a career. Mrs. Zobel is a committee member on the District English Language Arts committee as well as the District Science Committee. She just finished a three year term as a committee member on the District Technology Committee. Mrs. Zobel finds that through STEM lessons, she is able to motivate those learners who may have a difficult time with English Language Arts. During STEM lessons, students who may struggle with reading and writing are able to showcase their critical thinking skills and they also find the hands-on, group work fun! Extracurricular activities that Mrs. Zobel enjoys include, gardening, reading and spending time with her husband, three daughters and her dog, Bernie. As a Master Teacher, Mrs. Zobel is looking forward to being involved with Professional Learning Teams that focus on implementing the Next Generation Science Standards for elementary students.
