
Jessica Jordan
Franklinville Central School District ScienceJessica Jordan holds a BS in Biology Education and an MS in Earth Science Education from Buffalo State University. She began teaching in 2001 and has taught Earth Science for 24 years at Franklinville Central School. Throughout her career, Mrs. Jordan has also taught Chemistry lab, Biology lab, Forensics, Science Foundations, and some math courses. She is an active member of the Peer Mentoring Program and serves as the science department liaison for the Instructional Leadership Team. Additionally, she has coached cheerleading, soccer, track and field, and basketball, as well as served as a class advisor for many years. In 2019, Mrs. Jordan was featured on "Wheel of Fortune" during Teachers Week and had the opportunity to visit the San Andreas Fault and the Pacific Ocean while in California. She received the Veterans of Foreign Wars Teacher of the Year Award for teaching patriotism and Americanism in her classes. Mrs. Jordan is actively involved in STANYS and NYSESTA. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking Western New York’s various trails throughout the seasons and aims to become an Adirondack 46er. She is an engaged member of her community, volunteering on the Tree Commission, Friends of Cash Park, Parent Teacher Organization, and Christmas Spirit, an organization she has run for numerous years. As a participant in the Master Teacher Program, she is eager to learn new ways to incorporate the Next Generation Science Standards into her classroom and bring innovative ideas back to her department.
