Jennifer Koscielski
Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts Earth ScienceJennifer Koscielski earned her B.A. in Psychology, B.S. in Earth Science Education, and M.S.Ed. in Earth Science Education from SUNY College at Buffalo. Mrs. Koscielski also received her Certificate of Advanced Studies in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Niagara University. Mrs. Koscielski teaches seventh and eighth grade science at the Herman Badillo Bilingual Academy in Buffalo. In the classroom for 12 years, Mrs. Koscielski has also taught Earth Science, Environmental Science, Academic Intervention Services in math and science, and provided instruction after school in the STEM subject virtual reality learning lab. Mrs. Koscielski is passionate about incorporating technology in order to enhance lessons, providing English language acquisition support to her bilingual students, and providing engaging hands-on, inquiry-based lessons to meet the needs of all learners. She has demonstrated a commitment to continued learning through active participation in professional development. Jennifer’s hobbies outside of the classroom include travel, live music, camping, and caring for her dog. As a New York State Master Teacher, Mrs. Koscielski looks forward to learning and collaborating with other Master Teachers to enhance her pedagogical knowledge.
