Heather Thuman earned her B.A. in Anthropology, B.S. in Geological Sciences and M.S. in Geological Science from the University at Buffalo. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Thuman spent two years working as an Archaeologist and two years working for the Buffalo Geosciences Program. She has been in the classroom since 2007 teaching Earth Science, Astronomy, Natural Disasters and Environmental Science in the Williamsville School District. She is an advisor for the school's Science Honor Society and a coach for the Williamsville North Science Olympiad Team. She has also served on the District Technology Committee. Mrs. Thuman is also a certified Argument-Driven Inquiry trainer and enjoys using argument based lab activities in class. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Thuman enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and hiking. She is looking forward to collaborating with other science teachers through the Master Teacher Program.
