Erin McClure
North Collins Junior-Senior High School MathErin McClure earned her BS in Mathematics and Mathematics Adolescence Education from SUNY Fredonia, and MS in Teaching and Curriculum with an Emphasis in Mathematics at Syracuse University. While at SU, she was able to teach Elementary Statistics and Pre-Calculus as a graduate assistant. Upon returning to the WNY region, Mrs. McClure taught a few night classes for Erie Community College as well as held multiple long- term substitute positions until she was hired by Randolph Central School District in 2012. In her time at RCS, Mrs. McClure primarily taught 7th grade, AIS, various JCC courses, and was a class and yearbook advisor. Mrs. McClure joined the North Collins Central School District in 2021, as their middle school mathematics teacher. She is the National Junior Honor Society advisor, has found more time to volunteer in the community, and can be seen cheering on the NC athletes at many home games. Mrs. McClure is honored to be accepted into the NYS Master Teacher Program as she has been participating in various Professional Learning Teams, Landscapes, and other MTP offered mini-courses over the past many years. Mrs. McClure entered the education field to help make mathematics more engaging and accessible. Her current focus is to allow for more vertical scaffolding, exploration with the math content in the view of other STEAM fields, and the continued use of Formative Assessment Lessons.
