Erin Jamesson
East Aurora Middle School MathematicsErin Jamesson earned both a BA in Mathematics and a BA in Economics from SUNY Geneseo, along with a Master of Science in Education at SUNY College at Buffalo. Prior to beginning her career as a teacher, Erin worked as an Actuarial Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. In the classroom for 15 years, she has taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Algebra II, and AP Statistics at East Aurora High School. She currently teaches both 8th grade Math and Algebra at East Aurora Middle School. In addition to teaching, Erin serves as the 8th Grade Team Leader, the Math Curriculum Coordinator for Grades 5-8, and is a member of the District’s Shared Decision Making Committee, the EAMS Mentoring Program, the Association of Mathematics Teachers of NYS and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Outside of the classroom, Erin serves on the Board of Trustees at a local non-profit childcare center. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling. As a NYS Master Teacher, Erin is looking forward to collaborating with and learning from the exceptional educators in the program.
