Elizabeth Spada
Williamsville East High School Chemistry and Living EnvironmentElisabeth Spada earned her B.A. in biology and adolescence education at SUNY Geneseo and her M.S. in literacy at SUNY Albany. She has been teaching for a total of eight years in WNY, with her last six being in Williamsville Central School District. She has taught various courses over the past eight years but most recently has been teaching Regents chemistry and living environment at Williamsville East High School. Over her years of teaching Mrs. Spada has also coached field hockey, co-advised for Science Olympiad, and been the advisor for the comic book club. She has helped run professional development for technology integration in the classroom, field-tested classroom resources for Howard Hughes Medical Institute Biointeractive, and has participated in the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Green Chemistry Initiative. Outside of school Mrs. Spada is a strong advocate for our local wildlife, helping rehabilitate and nurture different animals in WNY by volunteering weekly at the SPCA’s wildlife department. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, travel, and read. Mrs. Spada feels passionate about girls exploring their interests in and love for science. She hopes the master teacher program will help her find avenues to pursue that interest.
