Dave Henry is an Associate Professor in the Elementary Education, Literacy and Educational Leadership department at Buffalo State. He earned his Ph.D. at SUNY at Buffalo in Science Education. Prior to that he studied at University of Massachusetts, Amherst and earned a Masters in physics at University of Wisconsin, Madison and a B.S. in Physics and Computer Science at North Dakota State University. Dr. Henry’s research areas include science mental models and how these mental models are expressed in explaining science phenomena. Dr. Henry is the Co-director of Western NY Physics Teacher Alliance (WNYPTA) and has WNY director of the NYS Master Teacher Program since its inception in 2012.
