Akron Middle School Math

Danielle Dembrow earned her B.S. in Mathematics and Adolescent Mathematics Education from SUNY Fredonia in 2017. She then earned her M.S.Ed. in Special Education from Niagara University in 2020. Danielle has been at Akron Central Schools for 6 years, teaching seventh grade math, eighth grade math and Algebra. She enjoys finding new and innovative ways to incorporate STEM throughout her units to better engage and motivate students. Within the Akron Central School District Danielle also coaches. She has been head coach for Varsity swim for five years and was assistant coach for Track and Field for one year. She also tutors, runs the clock for sporting events, and chaperones a variety of events. Danielle is also one of the Instructional Coaches for her district. Danielle has been a member of the Association of Mathematics Teachers New York State (AMTNYS) for seven years and has presented at their annual math conference on Incorporating Different Cultures within the Math Classroom. Danielle looks forward to the opportunity to be involved in the Master Teacher Program. She looks forward to sharing ideas with colleagues and growing as an educator.
