Danielle Class
Akron Middle School ChemistryDanielle Class earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Niagara County Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from SUNY Plattsburgh, and a Master’s of Science Degree in Education from University at Buffalo. Mrs. Class has been in the classroom for 16 years. She currently teaches General Science to her seventh grade students at Akron Middle School. Her past classroom experience includes instructing grades 7-12 in the areas of Living Environment, Regents Earth Science and Environmental Science. In addition to her classroom experience, Mrs. Class also instructs after school as a home/hospital tutor. She has also served her district in many capacities. Currently, she is Vice President and Negotiations co-chair of Akron’s Faculty Association. She has also served as Grievance Chair, Building Rep and has been a member on several committees. Mrs. Class has also served her district in the capacity of an Instructional Coach for the past two years. In the classroom, Mrs. Class has designed and implemented a blended science curriculum that is primarily paperless. This curriculum integrates traditional classroom instruction with an online learning platform in Schoology that facilitates differentiated lessons for her students. Mrs. Class enjoys spending free time with her husband, 3 children and many pets. As a NYS Master Teacher, Mrs. Class looks forward to growing as a STEM instructor and can’t wait to share her passion for teaching and learning with others.
