Dale LaChausse

Dale LaChausse earned both his BS in Molecular Genetics and MA in Teaching from SUNY Fredonia. As an undergraduate student, Mr. LaChausse was awarded a National Science Foundation internship at Cornell University and a National Cancer Institute research internship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Mr. LaChausse has been in the classroom for seven years at Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central, and currently teaches Regents Chemistry, Forensics, and College Level Chemistry. Mr. LaChausse is an adjunct instructor through Syracuse University’s Project Advance program. Mr. LaChausse co-advises the Trap Club, serves as the Science Department Chairperson and is the treasurer for the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Teachers Association. Mr. LaChausse is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Science Teacher’s Association of New York State. His professional interests include using technology in the classroom, inquiry based learning and teaching students how chemistry applies to everyday life. Mr. LaChausse is passionate about building positive relationships with students and encouraging them to pursue a career in the STEM field. Outside of school, Mr. LaChausse enjoys living in the country with his wife and two children.  Mr. LaChausse is looking forward to collaborating with other Master Teachers to improve his knowledge and instruction of science.
