Bridget Lyon
Panama Central ScienceBridget Lyon earned her BS in Elementary Education from Long Island University, her MS in Education from Edinboro University and MA in Literacy and Language from Kaplan University. Mrs. Lyon has been a classroom teacher since 1997. After teaching for 8 years in Florida, Mrs. Lyon returned to her alma mater, Panama Central School, where she has been teaching since 2002. Currently she is teaching 5th and 6th grade science. She enjoys finding innovative and creative ways to use project- based and hands-on activities to increase student motivation and achievement. Recently she earned the Grow with Us grant which allowed her to purchase vertical garden towers for her classroom. In addition to teaching Mrs. Lyon helps at various school functions which has included ski club advisor, school musicals, Stem Wars advisor, Boys Varsity Swim coach, operating score boards, timers, and supervising school sporting events. She also volunteers with the Chautauqua County 4-H program and children's programs at her church. Outside of school, Mrs. Lyon enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and being outdoors. She looks forward to growing as a professional and continuing her love for learning through participation in the Master Teacher Program.
