Brent Tylec
Niagara Wheatfield High School ChemistryBrent Tylec earned his B.A. in Chemistry from the SUNY Buffalo and his M.S. Ed. in Secondary Education from Canisius College with NYS Teaching Certifications in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and General Science. He has been a classroom teacher for 18 years, beginning in 2001. Mr. Tylec was driven into the teaching profession by the deep desire to work in a profession where he could have a positive impact on young minds. He currently teaches Regents Chemistry and A.P. Chemistry at Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School. As a STEM teacher, Mr. Tylec is excited to be able to teach fun engaging lessons with relevant real-world applications. In addition to his duties as a teacher, Mr. Tylec serves as tutor in his district for the Assigned Alternative Instruction Program. He has also coached in the district for many years, including Girls Basketball (Modified), Boys Lacrosse (Modified/JV/Varsity), and Football (Modified/JV/Varsity). In his free time, Mr. Tylec enjoys spending time playing sports his two sons and coaching their athletic teams. As a Master Teacher, Mr. Tylec looks forward to collaborating with other Master Teachers to deepen content knowledge, learn new highly effective teaching strategies, and enhance pedagogical knowledge.
