Bradley Gearhart earned a B.S. in Physics from Rochester Institute of Technology and a M.S.Ed in Physics Education from Buffalo State. Mr. Gearhart has taught high school physics for 12 years, and currently teaches Physics at Hutchinson Central Technical High School in the city of Buffalo. Locally, Mr. Gearhart has served as an Adjunct Professor at Buffalo State College, teaching Modeling Physics since 2009, and has been an active member of the Western New York Physics Teacher Alliance (WNYPTA) since 2005. Over the last 5 years, Mr. Gearhart has participated in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership (ISEP), working as a Coordinating Teacher and holding a summer research position at Praxair in Tonawanda, NY. On the national level, Mr. Gearhart has been a contributing member of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), presenting at several national conferences and currently serving as the Vice Chair on the Committee of Professional Concerns. Recently, Mr. Gearhart has gained an interest in creating stop-motion videos and Schlieren photography . As a NYS Master Teacher, Mr. Gearhart is excited to collaborate with his peers at the annual Accelerating Physics Workshop and looks forward to continuing his involvement in the NYSSLS PLT.
