Anthony Eberle
PS 156 Frederick Law Olmsted ScienceAnthony Eberle earned his BA in Biology from SUNY Buffalo State University, and his MSEd in Biology from Medaille University. During his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Newcastle, Australia. Mr. Eberle began his career in education in 2011, working in Special Education. Committed to strategically diversifying his teaching experiences, he moved to South Korea to work as an ENL teacher. Upon returning to the United States, he became a Learning & Leadership Specialist, conducting professional development courses under the auspices of the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. While working on his MSEd, he stepped out of the classroom to work in Social Work as a case planner contracted through ECDSS-CPS. Currently, Mr. Eberle teaches Regents Biology lecture and lab courses at BPS#156 Frederick Law Olmsted where he also serves as the 8th grade team lead and provides tutoring for high school athletes. Outside of the classroom, he is an avid houseplant collector and gardener. In 2023, his property became certified through the National Wildlife Federation. He is an active committee member of the NT Parks Department and continues to plant native trees within his local parks each year. As a NYS Master Teacher, he hopes to continue to empower his students to become positive contributing members of society by creating more lessons that promote collaboration and thoughtful risk taking. He is excited to work alongside fellow Master Teachers in hopes of nurturing innovation, fostering authentic 21st Century Skills, and exposing students to possible career paths within STEM.
