Angela Brooder
Lancaster High School ScienceAngela Brooder earned her BS in Biology from D’Youville College, and her teaching certifications in Biology and Chemistry and MS in Adult Education from Buffalo State. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Brooder worked in Emergency Medical Services as an Advanced EMT and continues to serve her community as an EMT with Lancaster Ambulance. In the classroom for 18 years, Mrs. Brooder has spent time teaching Living Environment and Regents and General Chemistry. She currently teaches Introduction to Health Careers and Anatomy & Physiology at Lancaster High School where she serves as the Director of the Healthcare Academy. Mrs. Brooder is a teacher mentor for the district and is a member of the Building Committee, Emergency Response Team, and the Safety Committee. She has assisted with the Science Olympiad, Science Honor Society, and Curling Club and can be found chaperoning nearly every spirit week event, activity, and dance. Mrs. Brooder has worked as an Education Specialist for the NYS Education Department in test development and is an advisory group member for a company that creates curricular resources that incorporate virtual and augmented reality. Outside of the classroom Mrs. Brooder enjoys spending time with her husband and three children as well as their two rescue dogs. As a NYS Master Teacher, Mrs. Brooder is looking forward to participating in the Professional Learning Team on Cross Cutting Concepts and the Mentoring Professional Collaboration.
