Angela Berti

Veronica E. Connor Middle School Science

Angela Berti is a seventh-grade science teacher at Veronica Connor Middle School in the Grand Island Central School District. She has five years of teaching experience. Angela holds a B.S. in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College and a M.S. in Science Education from SUNY Buffalo State. Before becoming an educator, Angela spent 12 years working as a veterinary technician in a small animal hospital. This professional background allows her to bring authentic, real-world science experiences into the classroom, helping students see the relevance of science in everyday life. Angela’s areas of expertise include life science and inquiry-based learning. She is known for fostering a positive classroom culture and designing instruction that is engaging, meaningful, and relatable for students. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a safe and supportive learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes students learn best when they are given opportunities to discover and explore concepts independently, with the teacher serving as a guide. As a Master Teacher, Angela looks forward to collaborating with fellow educators to learn new instructional strategies and continue supporting and encouraging her students’ love of science.
