Andrea Armstrong

Maple East Elementary Science & Mathematics

Andrea Armstrong earned her BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. She earned her MS in Reading Education from the University at Buffalo and later, an extension in Gifted Education from Canisius University. During her time at SUNY Buffalo, she served as historian of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. Ms. Armstrong has also been an adjunct instructor at both Medaille College in the Elementary Education program and at Canisius University in the Differentiated Instruction program. Ms. Armstrong has been teaching since 2001, and has been with the Williamsville Central School District for a majority of that time. She has been both a Gifted Programming Specialist and classroom teacher. She has been teaching fourth grade Math, Science, and Social Studies since 2013 at Maple East Elementary. Aside from her responsibilities in the classroom, Ms. Armstrong is facilitator of the Wellness Committee and a member of the Building Leadership and Science Committees. Ms. Armstrong also teaches courses through local Teacher Centers. In her spare time, she loves hiking, traveling, and going on adventures with her children. Ms. Armstrong is honored to have been selected to be a part of the Master Teacher Program and looks forward to the unique opportunities to grow her practice and to collaborate with other STEM teachers throughout our community.
