Amy Criddle
North Tonawanda High School ScienceAmy Criddle earned her MAT from Union College, BS in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and her Special Education certification from Buffalo State. In the classroom for 18 years, Mrs. Criddle aches Special Education in Regents Living Environment and Regents Earth Science at North Tonawanda High School/ She has also taught both International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement Biology. Mrs. Criddle has served as an assistant coach for Science Olympiad, focused on increasing STEM access for students with disabilities, and participated in a strategic action plan to strengthen student engagement in math, science, and technology. She loves to take her students on field trips to learn background knowledge and experience in the natural sciences. Mrs. Criddle regularly participates in professional development courses to strengthen her knowledge in science and technology, as well as to develop an understanding of the connections between social emotional health and acquisition of knowledge. Outside of school, she enjoys nature hikes to explore the geography, flora, and fauna of the Adirondacks and family vacations with her son, daughter, and husband. She is excited to broaden her professional network collaborating as part of the Master Teacher Program.
