Alex Bianchi teaches first grade at Ben Franklin Elementary in the Kenmore-Tonawanda School District. He earned his BS in Childhood Education from Buffalo State and his MSEd in Literacy Education from SUNY Oneonta. He is currently pursuing a CAS in Educational Leadership at Buffalo State. He recently achieved National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education and holds New York State certifications in Childhood, Early Childhood, and Literacy Education. Mr. Bianchi enjoys mentoring pre-service and student teachers, and always looks forward to an annual duck-hatching project with his students. He puts an added emphasis on STEM topics in the primary classroom, and employs the Modern Classrooms model for blended learning with his first graders. Outside of school, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, skiing, and visiting National Parks.
