Adam Gollwitzer earned his BA in Geological Sciences and his MSEd in Science Education from SUNY at Buffalo (UB).  He has taught science for eleven years in urban and rural settings to students with a variety of learning needs. Mr. Gollwitzer is currently instructing at Chautauqua Lake Central School District. The courses he teaches are: Outdoor Field Science, Regents Earth Science, and Metamorphosis which investigates change –in climate, populations, agricultural practices, and policies. Also serving his district as Science Olympiad Coach, Instructional Support Team Coordinator, and Professional Development Adviser, Mr. Gollwitzer engages people at many levels to promote well-designed learning environments that allow students to become proficient in both cognitive and non-cognitive skills. Mr. Gollwitzer belongs to, and is active with, the National Science Teachers Association, New York State Outdoor Science Education Association, and the Council for Exceptional Children. His personal interests include backpacking, camping, urban agriculture, and rural agriculture. As a NYS Master Teacher, Mr. Gollwitzer is excited to learn from the accomplished professionals that he has the privilege of interacting with and to contribute knowledge from his own experiences to the program.
